Tutor Extraordinaire is always glad to hear from thoughtful, capable tutors who care about helping students grow in confidence and understanding. We occasionally add tutors as student needs, subject fit, and scheduling allow.
What We Look For
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain ideas clearly.
- Teaching or tutoring experience with students who need patient, steady support.
- Clear communication with parents and students.
- Reliability, professionalism, and care for each student’s progress.
- Comfort working with homeschool families, traditional-school families, or both.
Subjects Of Interest
Common areas of need include math, science, reading, writing, elementary support, and SAT/ACT/CLT test preparation. In-person and virtual tutoring opportunities may vary based on student needs and tutor availability.

Most tutoring opportunities are independent-contractor based. Availability depends on student needs, subject fit, location, schedule, and the current needs of the Tutor Extraordinaire team.
